Package for Johnny

I am making a package to send to the Sileno's. Johnny is 5 and Taryn is 3. If you would like to send a note, card, or something special to them, get it to me by this Sunday. He loves fire fighters (thanks to his daddy). He loves to receive letters. Anything for mom and dad would be great too! I thought it may be a good idea to send gift cards for dinners. Not sure of all the local ones, but McDonalds, Burger King, and Applebee's were a few.

Prayer, prayer

Praying for Lilly as she has gall bladder surgery this morning.
Praying for Anderson's family as he had a HORRIBLE night!!! May God give them a peaceful uneventful day!!!!!
Praying for Johnny, Jennine and John today! Don't know how they week is going, but think of them every minute!!!
Praying for Tyson's job interview!
Prayer works!!!

Prayer needs

I feel like the cancer monster of 2010 has just hit with a furry! I am sick to my stomach as I read the websites of the kids I follow. Please pray for these families as they face reoccurances and hospice.
Johnny Selino- Hospice care
Aaron Bell - Reoccurance after 3 years
Anderson Butzine - Continued fight. Alot of health issues in the hospital
Ethan Mjolsness - Reoccurance in spine. Surgery and treatment
Ivee's next scan is in July. I am getting anxious. Will be asking the Lord for a lot of peace right now.

"Be anxious for nothing, but with prayer and petition, take your needs to the Lord"

Prayer

From Johnny's Momma...

...."I've had to report some pretty difficult news here in the past...this will by far be the most difficult. Johnny's tumor is back again, same area of the brainstem, and currently about 1 inch in diameter. His recent symptoms of weakness and not being able to eat gave us this idea, yesterday's scan just confirmed it. And so what to do?? Surgery is out, we will not put him through that again. Radiation is out, he has maxed out. That leaves the option of chemotherapy, and we have made the decision not to pursue this course either. Hospice has been involved for a couple of weeks now (since the NG tube), I just had a difficult time admitting it. Of course our questions have all been about what to expect now. And our goal is only his comfort. We should be seeing a slowing down from now on. We have no idea how much time we will have left with Johnny. And the tears are just rolling down my face uncontrollably as I type this. All I know is that we do not want him to suffer anymore. And the suffering for all of us will go on for our lifetime. For those of you dear friends who are in the fight with us, opting for chemotherapy, my greatest hope and prayer is that it keeps the monster away and life goes on. It simply is not the best choice for us. Johnny did really well during the scan yesterday and we spent the evening at the ball park watching Grant's game. He was surrounded by cute girls and loving it. Now, we need to go see Papa play. Today, he was able to make it to school for a couple hours. I know you are all in tears, too. And you're asking what can I do? It is such a helpless feeling and situation. We have everything we need - each other. So, the prayer request changes a little as of today. Please pray for comfort and peace for us all. Much love and hugs, Jennine."

Words cannot express the pain I feel right now for this family. Please pray with us!!!

Final day at Disney

Last Day at Magic Kingdom and Epcot

First I fixed me princesses hair. Then off to Magic Kingdom.
We visited Tom Sawyer's Island
Then off to Toon Town...Ivee and Britt got their faces painted.
And we visted Minnie's House. She has a painting of herself in one of my favorite paintings by Maxfield Parrish called Ecstasy. That was a great surprise. Someone there made mention that they are tearing down Minnie's house soon.
After a visit to Mickey's house we got to visit with Minnie and Mickey!!!
Here is Ivee's Minnie face!!!
Back to Epcot for supper. We got to see Mary Poppins there.
After our shwarmas in Morocco, it was off to France for dessert.
Strawberry tarts and napoleans...
Ned da' belle and chocolate mousse
And Ivee loved her seom chocolate mousse once we convienced her to try it!!!
We ended our day with the kids riding the test track and Ivee walking herself on the wall.
So that is our trip to Disney World. I'll post more videos later. I am very thankful for our time and for Ivee's first vacation!!! God has blessed us so much !!!!!
If you haven't seen days 1, 2 or so on, click on the links in the blog archive for June at the lower right side of the page to go back and view those days. I've had lots of post the last few days. They aren't sent to a seperate page.

Day 6 at Disney

Disney's MAGIC KINGDOM!!!
Okay, there are way too many pictures to share of Magic Kindom, and that is just in the first day!!! So I have picked just a few to share...yes a few!!!
When we arrived the Dream with Me show was on stage. Ivee heard then saw her favorite Minnie followed by Mickey. I think the two are a tie for her!!! Here she is watching the show from her best spot, daddy's shoulder. Along with a picture of the three princesses. Then a close up of some of her favs, along with Peter Pan, Hook and Wendi.
Next we enjoyed Alladin's magic carpet ride along with the Tiki Room show.

Here we are entering the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, newly revamped. She took the quick waterfall drop like a champ. Didn't bother Ivee at all!!
The Jungle Boat cruise was fun, thanks to our very funny guide, Ian.
Up next was the Country Bear Jamboree!!!
Everyone was getting creeped out at the Haunted Mansion, except Ivee. She said it was no big deal.
It's a Small World was a big hit for Ivee, and she threw a fit cause she didn't want to get off!!!!
Dumbo was okay, but she likes a bigger challenge!!
She and daddy shared a horsey on Cinderella's Carousel!!
Buzzlighter's Space Ranger Spin, was spintacular. We all love it!
And who can forget the carousel of progress!!! Updated might I add.
One of our favs is located in Tomorrowland. Home of Space Mountain, Stitches great escape, Buzzlighter Space Ranger Spin, Carousel of Progress, and the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, and big fav of mine!!
We loved the fireworks and Ivee didn't think they were too loud, but she was getting a bit tired around this time.
While daddy picked up breakfast from the pastry store, we entertained Ivee on the street waiting for the second showing of Spectromagic. Mom and Britt missed the first showing, we were space mountaining it!!!
Then the streets went dark and the parade began.
Ivee is waiting for Mickey to come!!!
Her face seeing Mickey. She loves him!!!!
Many pictures to share, but I can't post them all. I might post an album on facebook soon. It has to be well over a 1,000 photos. I'll still have to be choosey!!!!

Day Five at Disney

Back to Epcot = Take Two

We enjoyed the street performers and the fountains at Epcot!!
Ethan and Ivee having their smackdown. If you haven't seen the video to this one click here to see it.
The baby ducks visited us. They were newly hatched, hardly able to walk and eat. Too cute!!!
Ivee liked the bunnies in the Peter Pan garden, and a visit with Tigger and Pooh!!
Ethan and Britt took to the booths in Great Britian
Ivee walked along the streets of Epcot, while Ethan and Britt loved and continued to ride the Test Track...of which we all got stuck on this day. Britt got stuck sideways.
That night we took in the full moon and the fireworks and lights show.
