So, we are leaving Sunday, September 7th after the Morning Worship Service. She will have preadmission labs drawn Monday morning, then we drive to East Memphis with our appointment with Dr. Sanford. Tuesday morning, September 9th she will be admitted to LeBoner Children's hospital at 6:00 a.m. and her surgery is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Ivee will spend the night in ICU, and then she will be taken to the floor to stay for 3 to 4 days. This surgery is not as evasive as her tumor removal, but they will still go in through the back of her neck as they did before. It will be a painful recovery requiring physical therapy to recover. She will have to be taught to move her neck and head again (that is, not be afraid to move it). After the surgery, I will more aggressively seek out the people to help with her swallowing (the transitional therapist).
So, I have a recovering child to add to my already demanding schedule, but the church is very good to our family, and very understanding. I am still in the process of composing the script for the Christmas production. I will have to have some help with Ivee for about 3 weeks while she recovers for me to be able to make it to the office. I believe her recovery will be easier this time. She is older and knows what it means to move around now, so I think just sheer determination from a stubborn child might be good recovery in itself.
Thank you for your prayers and your continued support. I keep all your comments, and one day I would like to compose all these postings and comments in a book for her. She will be able to turn the pages and see what God has done through her and for her, and she will see the support of his faithful children to our family.
May God receive all the glory! For all the great things he has done!

We are standing in prayer with you! We love you!
We will definitely be praying!! You are doing an awesome job with the music, and you have blessed us every week with what God has led you to sing. Thank you for your hard work for HIM!
Stay safe during the storm!

Thank you for your prayers. Is this the Harman's? No name?
We are praying for you. My small group has been praying for this decision for a few weeks along with you and Emmett. Some are following your blog as well. We will be praying with you and for you as you make this trip and begin another time of recovery. I love you guys!

Praying for y'all. I know its not the decision you were hoping for-but I'm glad you at least know what's going to be best for her and you can move forward with it. Praying for a very successful surgery and that we'll see Erin and Ivee chasing each other around this Christmas!!
We are praying for all of you. Your family is a living, breathing testimony of Him; giving Him glory through the storm you are in. The Lord is doing an awesome work through you with the choir. It is amazing to watch God work. There are times He gives us "just enough light for the step we are on".
I pray for Ivee; for His Healing Hand to cover her and strengthen her in the days ahead; for each one who has a hand in her care; to guide the hands of the surgeon.
"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen" 1 Tim 1:17
"Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all!" 2 Thess 3:16
We love you! We pray! Anna & Bob
Hope,
We hope and pray that the surgery will go smoothly. Give Ivee a hug and kiss from her family in Illinois. You'll be in our thoughts.

Hey Foleys,
Not sure if that was a Harman or not but this is; Daddy Harman. The Lord is good and has been so faithful to Ivee and to you. It has been a blessing for us to be a part of all of it. We continue to pray for you all (Brittney and Ethan included) that you will consistently recognize God's Grace in your life and lean on Him and His wisdom and His power. Especially in those days where there's just nothing left to give. We love you all and can't wait to have Ivee run up to us. See ya soon.
Love Tony
